Merry Christmas…

This has become the center or our family Christmas Brunch. Hope you enjoy it as well…smell it cooking right now…yum!

Dawn’s Best Hash Brown Casserole

2- Bags frozen tater tots (regular size bag, I use Orida brand)
1- Cup sour cream
1- Cup minced onions
1- Stick of butter
1- Can cream of chicken soup
½ – Cup milk
½ – Block Velveeta cheese

Pour tater tots in baking dish (salt and pepper to taste)…melt butter in microwave, mix together with sour cream, soup and onions and milk, pour mixture over tater tots, then cut Velveeta into ½ inch to 1 inch thick slices and lay over the top…cover and bake at 375 for about 45 minutes…pull out and stir…put back in the oven for about 30 minutes more…check consistency…if to thin, bake longer…if to thick, add a couple of tablespoons of milk….this is the best tasting hash brown casserole I have ever made or tasted. Enjoy…

This recipe makes quite a bit…I don’t have servings size or calories, sorry. I used my 5 quart casserole and it was about ¾ full…so you can cut this in half…and change it to taste.
You can change most of the ingredients to low fat or fat free…I used 2% milk Velveeta and fat free milk.
