Here is an idea for something homemade for Christmas if you save Birthday cards, Christmas cards and so forth. I bought a small wood chest (unfinished) at Michaels, then I stained it and let it dry completely. I then took my favorite cards that my sister sent to me over the years, cut out my favorite shapes, pictures and words written, and dates if put inside, and make sure write the date and year you made it. I then glued them all over the outside, inside and underneath. I then used decoupage to glue them on the wood, then I used varnish to seal them on the wood. You may have to coat several times. Let dry completely. My sister was thrilled with this gift!
