MY SECOND SACK OF PEARS.. FINGERS ARE SORE..=(

and NO they are not rotten… some have spots on them but these are not store bought pears these are from a WV farm they may not be purty but they sure taste good… mmmmm mmmmmmm

WV  WINTER PEARS… THEY ARE SO SWEET…


RECIPE CANNED PEARS (my favorite lol)

RULE OF THUMB 2 cups of water to every 1 cup of sugar for syrup. (but I always add more sugar and some white corn syrup)

Make your syrup on stove with water and sugar, can add light Corn syrup if desire,

Wash Pears, I peel them also. they should be firm but soft if you get my drift, not tooo ripe.
Cut into halves or quarters, core and pare.

Pack pears into hot clean ready jars, leaving 1/2 inch head space Cover with boiling hot syrup, leaving 1/ inch head space. Remove air bubbles with wand.

put caps on clean dry non sticky jars.

Put pears on bring to 10 lbs pressure and as soon as it gets to 10 lbs TURN IT OFF. let cool down naturally.
