BROCCOLI SLAW CONVERSATION
Well some of you may even call it Broccoli Salad..their seem to be many versions and opinions on the dish..
I first tasted this dish at our Pastors Appreciation Dinner.. I fell in love with it. Although its not really something spectacular to look at, you may even dismiss it and walk on by if you go by looks.. but let me tell you it is DELICIOUS!! just the right amount of flavors and textures…for me anyways.
So I went on FB on my recipe group TRIED AND TRUE RECIPES (link is on homepage) to ask for a recipe… the response was quite overwhelming.. so many different ideas and versions. SO… I may just post the whole conversation on here but I will start out with the one I tasted… It was made by a sweet older lady in the church named Donna.. she calls her’s Broccoli Slaw
Donna’s Broccoli Slaw
broccoli, the smaller the pieces the better,
1/2 diced red onion,
2 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese,
and a pack of bacon, cooked and crumbled.
In a small bowl, mix 1 cup mayo, 2 Tbl  white vinegar, and 1/4 cup sugar.
Mix together and chill.
Here is the original post and comments on FB for inspiration for when YOU make your own version of the salad ,, they all sound so good
