I make a salad every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas, the ONLY thing my dad requests! I kinda like it too but I don’t wait for the holidays to have it!

7 Layer Salad

2 cups of shredded lettuce
1 1/2 cups of chopped green bell pepper
1 1/2 cups of chopped celery
1 1/2 cups of green onions
1 1/2 cups of chopped boiled eggs
1 1/2 cups of frozen green peas (I leave this out)

I use my 2.5 quart oval corning ware bowl and layer it starting with the lettuce and take a 16 oz tub of sour cream and mix with Hidden Valley Ranch and use this as a “frosting” as the top layer, be sure to seal the edges! This is wonderful and gets better everyday, I usually make it the night before. But makes wonderful leftovers too!

Some other suggestions I have seen:
Purple onion instead of green onions
add a layer of bacon, or
top the ranch layer with shredded cheese.
